Support for Chronic Conditions
Massage therapy can be effective in helping to improve the quality of life in many circumstances by helping to restore normal function and reduce pain.
In cases where pain and discomfort is a result of system conditions or disease massage therapy can help to decrease the discomfort the client feels. Massage therapy cannot cure these conditions but regular treatment may ease discomfort and improve the client’s sense of well being.
Some examples of chronic conditions that can be supported with massage therapy include:
• Cancer
• Osteorthritis
• Emphysema
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Fibromyalgia
• HIV / AIDS
• Diabetes
• Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
